Simple Cruise Packing List

This list is for a 7 Day Cruise – adjust as needed for shorter/longer cruises

  • Passports – or – Birth Certificate + Driver’s License/Official ID
  • Cash (for while in port and/or for On Ship account)
  • Phone
  • Camera (if you’re not using your phone’s camera)
  • E-Reader and/or Books to read for PLEASURE
  • Electronics Chargers
    • Phone/Tablet
    • Camera
    • E-Reader
  • Travel Multi-Plug (NO surge protector)
  • Sound Machine (with white/brown noise)
  • Re-usable leak proof water bottles or travel tumblers – one for each person
  • Small Purse (for ship)
  • Day Bag (for excursions)
  • Bottle(s) of wine (1 per person – if you drink)
  • Corkscrew (for the bottles of wine – to avoid a $25 corkage fee)
  • Lanyards (1 per person – buckle variety is best)
  • Sunglasses
  • Caps/Hats
  • Super Strong Magnetic Hooks or Super Strong Magnets
  • Nightlight/Flashlight
  • Analog Watch
  • Post it Notes & Pen/Sharpee
  • Thank You Notes (for leaving a note with any tips you may deliver at the end of your cruise)
  • Zip Lock Baggies (they’re just so useful)
  • Binder clips or Chip Clips (they’re just so handy)
  • Door Marker/Sign (ribbon, clip, sign, etc)
  • Clear Luggage Tags (for your cruise line provided paper tags)
  • Extra hangers (if you pack heavy and like to hang your clothes)
  • 1-2 Hoodies or Cardigans
  • 1 Pair of Sweatpants/Joggers (sometimes it gets a little chilly – especially if you’re sunburned)
  • 7 Day Outfits
  • 5 Casual Night Outfits
  • 2 Formal Night Outfits
  • 2 Extra Outfits (you never know)
  • 2 Swimsuits – if you plan on swimming – they tend to dry slowly at sea.
  • Flip Flops/Sandals
  • Close Toed Shoes (some excursions require)
  • Water Shoes (if you plan on doing beach/sea excursions – some beaches are rocky)
  • Dressy(ish) shoes (for formal nights)
  • Socks (Aron forgot socks once and it was a PITA)
  • Under Garments (duh)
  • Pajamas
  • Toiletries & Prescription Medications
  • Sunscreen (reef safe if you’re planning any beach/sea excursions)
  • First Aid Kit (with various medications – OTC for headache, nausea, sleep, anti-itch, allergy, etc.)
